CAIRO – 7 March 2022: Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi ordered the government to expand digital cooperation with African countries throughout encouraging the Egyptian Information Technology (ICT) companies to cooperate with their African counterparts for building integrated digital systems, in light of the “Africa for Digital Creativity” initiative,

In a meeting with Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Mabdouli and Minister of Communication and Information Technology Amr Talaat on Monday, President Sisi also directed the government to provide specialized technical training for African youth in various related fields, said Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Rady in a statement.

The President highlighted the importance of using the latest technologies to double the capabilities of the state’s digital information infrastructure, in parallel with training human cadres in various areas of digital skills to support government performance and provide the latest digital services to citizens and the business sector.

The Minister of Communications presented a review on a number of ongoing projects in the communications and information technology sector. He briefed the President on the project of establishing a knowledge city in the new administrative capital, Rady said.
