CAIRO -30 June 2025: Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty underscored on Monday the importance of swiftly resuming negotiations on the Iranian nuclear file, viewing it as the optimal path to building trust and reducing tensions.

During a phone call with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Abdelatty emphasized the need to uphold regional security and stability through diplomatic and negotiated solutions.

He also expressed Egypt’s readiness to support all efforts aimed at reaching a political settlement that bolsters regional security and stability.

The foreign minister stressed the importance of consolidating the ceasefire between Iran and Israel, highlighting the need for joint efforts to achieve calm and prevent renewed escalation, in a manner that supports regional peace and stability.
