CAIRO - 26 February 2025: Sudanese Minister of Communications and Digital Transformation Adel Hassan commended the Egyptian-Sudanese relations, stressing that both Egypt and Sudan "are one fabric and one people until now."

In an interview with the Middle East News Agency (MENA) in Amman, on the sidelines of the second edition of the "Digital Cooperation and Development Forum" held in Jordan, Hassan stated that the Sudanese consider Egypt their second country and vice versa, stressing that Egypt is always in the heart of Sudan, its leadership, government and people.

He added that the relations between Cairo and Khartoum are historical, fraternal and strong throughout the ages and times, stressing that Egypt has been and continues to offer a lot to Sudan and its people, especially in times of crises it is going through.

He pointed out that cooperation, coordination and exchange of expertise between the two countries have not been interrupted despite the circumstances that Sudan has been going through since the beginning of the war until now, considering that Egypt is always the incubator for the peoples of the region and the world in times of crises and conflicts.

Regarding cooperation between the Ministries of Communications in Egypt and Sudan, Minister Adel Hassan noted that the Sudanese Ministry of Communications and Digital Transformation is always looking forward to benefiting from Egyptian expertise in many fields, especially digital transformation, smart cities, and others, noting that Egypt has a unique experience in all sectors, especially the communications and information technology sector.

He pointed out that Sudan is also looking forward to more cooperation and coordination between the Ministries of Communications in Egypt and Sudan in order to work on rebuilding the communications sector in Sudan after the end of the war, noting that Egypt has extensive experience in this sector and we are working to benefit from it.

He further explained that the Sudanese government is also keen to have Egyptian expertise present in rehabilitating the infrastructure, whether in the communications sector or otherwise, following the destruction that occurred due to the war, noting that the Rapid Support Militia destroyed all infrastructure sectors in Sudanese cities.
