Egypt's Mins. of trade, planning discuss boosting coordination to achieve development plans

CAIRO, 5 January 2020: Egypt's Minister of Trade and Industry Neven Gamea' conferred on Thursday with Minister of Planning Hala el Saeed on means to boost cooperation and coordination between the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Planning to achieve the economic and development plans adopted by the Egyptian government to increase the growth rates in the productive and exports sectors and provide more job opportunities.

In a statement on Thursday, Gamea' said that the meeting reviewed the importance of unifying visions and governmental efforts to develop the industrial sector as it is one of the main sectors in providing job opportunities, according to state news agency, MENA.

The Ministry of Trade is working with all bodies concerned to improve the quality of the Egyptian products to increase competitiveness in the local and foreign markets, Gamea' said.

Meanwhile, Saeed pointed out to the importance of the file of trade and industry for the development plan within the coming years.

She also shed light on the importance of localizing industry, adding that the exports play a main role in increasing the volume of the state's resources from the foreign currency.

Saeed expressed happiness over cooperation between both ministries, pointing out to the importance of working on localizing the targets of sustainable development at the level of the governorates.
