Egypt, Sudan and US Discuss Efforts to End Conflict and Restore Stability

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held a trilateral meeting with Sudanese Foreign Minister Mohieddin Salem and US Presidential Senior Adviser for Arab and African Affairs Massad Boulos to discuss developments in Sudan and efforts to end the conflict and restore security and stability.

The meeting focused on ways to build on ongoing de-escalation efforts and create conditions for a sustainable political settlement that meets the aspirations of the Sudanese people and safeguards their national interests.

Abdelatty stressed the need to preserve Sudan’s unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the country’s state resources and national institutions.

He also emphasized the importance of intensifying regional and international efforts to end the conflict through dialogue and negotiations.
