Egypt has condemned the attacks targeting Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh, on Saturday, describing them as a serious violation of the Kingdom’s security and stability and of international law.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cairo rejected any attempt to undermine Saudi Arabia’s security or sovereignty and reaffirmed its full solidarity with the Kingdom in confronting threats to its security, stability and territorial integrity.
Egypt stressed that the security of Egypt and Saudi Arabia is closely interconnected, emphasizing that the Kingdom’s security is an essential part of regional security and stability.
Cairo also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting its national security and shared interests with Saudi Arabia amid growing regional tensions.
The Egyptian statement comes as attacks targeting Saudi Arabia have increased in recent weeks. Cairo has previously condemned attacks inside the Kingdom and warned that continued attacks could further threaten regional security and fuel escalation.
