Egypt's textile exports jump 0.3% in period from Jan. to July

CAIRO - 5 September 2019: Egypt's textile exports jumped 0.3 percent to reach $1.756 billion during the period from January to July 2019, up from $1.752 billion in the same period last year.

In its monthly report, the Textiles, Apparel, and Home Textiles Export Council said the exports of ready-made clothes jumped 6 percent to hit $967 million in the first seven months of 2019, compared to 915 million last year.

The US ranked first as the top market importing Egyptian textile products at a value of $623 million, followed by European countries ($561 million) and Arab countries ($220 million).
