CAIRO – 27 April 2025: Egypt welcomed the signing of the Declaration of Principles in Washington between the Congolese and Rwandan governments on achieving peace, stability and economic development in eastern Congo.
In a statement on Saturday, Egypt asserted that this step is a progress towards building trust between both countries and promoting opportunities of achieving peace and regional stability in the area of Great Lakes and Africa.
Egypt lauded the vow of both sides to seriously work on solving disputes via peaceful methods to contribute to ending the tensions and open horizons of cooperation and joint development for the interests of both countries.
Egypt asserted its support for all the efforts exerted to settle the disputes peacefully in Africa and respecting the principles of the international law and the institutional law of the African Union to contribute to achieving regional and international security and stability.
Egypt was keen on exerting strenuous efforts to support settlement via peaceful ways between both countries.
