CAIRO - 30 April 2025: U.S. Ambassador to Egypt, Herro Mustafa Garg, emphasized the importance of the enhancing the economic partnership between the United States (US) and Egypt, during her participation in virtual meeting with Egyptian officials on Tuesday.
The U.S. Ambassador joined Kamel El-Wazir, Egypt's Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Transport and Industry, and Hassan El-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, for a virtual briefing with U.S. companies to showcase the growing trade and investment opportunities in Egypt's ports and logistics sector.
Ambassador Garg, Deputy Prime Minister Kamel El-Wazir, and Minister Hassan El-Khatib highlighted Egypt's strategic location as a crossroads between Africa and the Middle East and its development into a global logistics hub.
She affirmed that "Cooperation between the United States and Egypt is essential not only to enhance economic opportunities, but also to drive shared prosperity. We value our partnership and look forward to greater participation from American companies in this vital sector."
