CAIRO - 8 March 2021: Egypt's Ministry of Public Business Sector said Monday it completed the establishment of three state-of-the-art cotton gins in the governorates of Sharkiya, Gharbia and Beheira at total costs of LE 200 million as part of its plan to restructure and upgrade cotton, spinning and weaving companies.

In a statement, the ministry said Minister of Public Business Sector Hesham Tawfik closely followed up the progress of the project to establish the gins in the cities of Zagazig, Kafr El Zayyat and Kafr El Dawwar.

Modern machines for the project are due to reach the country from India late this month and experimental operation of the gins would start in May, said the statement.
