CAIRO - 12 March 2025: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi stressed Egypt's steadfast stand in support of the Palestinian cause during the inauguration of the 41st cultural seminar on Tuesday
During the seminar, which was held by the Armed Forces on the Day of the Martyr and Veteran Warrior, the President emphasized that "Egypt is a key player in the Palestinian cause despite the developments in the region and the whole world."
He added that the Palestinian cause can only be settled by achieving justice, establishing an independent Palestinian state and keeping the Palestinians on their lands, highlighting the importance of the Egyptian people's support for the political leadership with regard to this stand.
Sisi lauded the steadfastness of the Palestinians, stressing that Egypt will offer all needed backing for the Palestinians.
President Sisi said "As we honor the memory of our great martyrs today, we reaffirm our commitment to their families. They have not only lost their sons but have also offered the ultimate sacrifice for the nation: their most precious loved ones. Egypt does not forget its loyal sons and will always stand by them, just as our armed forces—the nation's shield and sword—will remain steadfast in the face of any threat, protecting the resources of these great people."
Moreover, President SIsi highlighted that it is a fortunate coincidence that our commemoration this year, marking Martyrs' Day, aligns with the anniversary of the Tenth of Ramadan victory, during which Egypt waged one of its most honorable battles.
“This unwavering commitment unequivocally reflects the enduring will of our nation throughout its history, demonstrating its capability and overpower against any obstacle that stands in the way of achieving its security, well-being, and leadership," added the president.
"For this nation, there are men who have achieved the impossible, consistently securing Egypt's steadfastness in both past and present, solidifying the unity of the Egyptian people and fortifying their resilience. May our noble people thrive in prosperity, security, and peace," he said.
"It is indeed a fortunate coincidence that our commemoration this year, marking Martyrs' Day, aligns with the anniversary of the Tenth of Ramadan victory, during which Egypt waged one of its most honorable battles. In this battle, our men performed extraordinary feats that propelled us towards horizons of dignity and pride, through the unity of our people and the fortitude of our army, who were determined to achieve victory," Sisi said.
President Sisi added that Egypt's martyrs did not merely offer their lives, but they gave Egypt a future and paved the path to stability and security.
"Before I conclude my speech, I extend a well-deserved tribute to the Egyptian people and armed forces for their tireless efforts over the past years, during which we have striven to build the capabilities of this nation militarily, politically, and economically. These efforts have enabled us to overcome all challenges and have prepared us to face all threats. What has been achieved on Egyptian soil, despite all circumstances, has empowered us to stand firmly, defending our present and securing the future for generations to come," the president said.
"In conclusion, on behalf of the Egyptian people, we extend a salute of appreciation and reverence to our valiant martyrs and their honorable families for their sacrifices and acts of heroism. I pledge before Allah, the Almighty, that we will relentlessly strive to fulfil your aspirations for the elevation, progress, and stability of our beloved Egypt."
