CAIRO – 12 August 2025: The 12th humanitarian convoy of “Zad Al-Izza… From Egypt to Gaza” is en route from Cairo to the besieged Gaza Strip, carrying approximately 2,300 tons of urgent relief aid, according to a statement released by the Egyptian Red Crescent on Monday.
This latest convoy, organized by the Egyptian Red Crescent, includes trucks loaded with essential food and medical supplies destined for southern Gaza via the Kerem Abu Salem crossing. It forms part of Egypt’s ongoing efforts to support the Palestinian population amid a worsening humanitarian crisis.
The aid shipment consists of around 2,200 tons of food baskets and flour, along with medical supplies. It underscores Egypt’s commitment to delivering life-saving assistance and food support to the people of Gaza.
The "Zad Al-Izza" initiative, launched by the Egyptian Red Crescent, began its 12th mission on July 27, transporting thousands of tons of supplies, including food chains, baby formula, medical and therapeutic medications, personal care items, and fuel.
The Egyptian Red Crescent has served as the official national mechanism for coordinating and dispatching aid to Gaza since the outbreak of the conflict. The Rafah crossing has remained open on the Egyptian side, with the Red Crescent maintaining full operational readiness at all logistical centers to ensure a continuous flow of aid.
To date, the organization has facilitated the delivery of more than 36,000 trucks, transporting approximately 500,000 tons of humanitarian and relief aid, thanks to the efforts of over 35,000 volunteers.
