CAIRO, USAID ink agreement to improve psychosocial support services

CAIRO, 31 May 2020: Egypt's Ministry of International Cooperation and the Ministry of Social Solidarity have signed an agreement with the US Agency for International Development (USAID) to implement an initiative that supports the Egyptian Red Crescent that includes 30,000 volunteers and professionals in the fields of health and psychological support.

Minister of International Cooperation Rania el Mashat said on her Twitter account that the initiative aims to improve psychosocial support services.

The psychological health affects us all, especially in light of the current crisis facing the world, the minister added, alluding to the coronavirus crisis.
