CAIRO – 17 August 2025: The 16th humanitarian aid convoy from “Zad El-Izza” initiative departed from Egypt to Gaza on Sunday to alleviate the worsening humanitarian crises due to the Israeli genocidal war on the strip.

Aid trucks lined up in preparation for their crossing into the strip, carrying hundreds of tons of various relief supplies, reported Al Qahera News on Sunday morning.

The 16th convoy, "Zad El-Izza," includes tons of food aid, flour, medical supplies, and essential supplies needed by the Strip.

The Egyptian Red Crescent is keen to diversify the aid baskets, which include baby milk, flour, oil, sugar, and cheese, to meet the growing needs of the Gaza Strip's residents, the channel said.

North Sinai Governorate has provided several different logistical centers, and many of its hospitals and medical teams have been designated to receive injured and wounded Palestinians.

The Palestinian Health Ministry Gaza announced on Saturday that 11 died due to starvation within the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 251, including 108 children.
