President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi received Wednesday Kenyan Defense Minister Aden Duale to discuss military and security cooperation as well as confer over international and regional developments, particularly in Gaza Strip, the Red Sea, and the Horn of Africa.

In that framework, the Kenyan minister lauded the Egyptian role in establishing peace and security in Africa, asserting his country's eagerness for coordination and cooperation with Egypt to fulfill joint interests and consolidate African work.

In September, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli held a visit to Kenya where he met with President William Ruto as they discussed potential joint projects. Those include constructing 10 dams to collect rainwater, digging 10 groundwater wells, and establishing a pilot area for modern irrigation on an area of 100 acres. Further, Egypt will provide a training program to Kenyan specialists in the field of water resources and irrigation.
