Today's activities: The meeting of the Supreme Council of Culture and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Science and Engineering Exhibition

Today, Sunday, March 12, 2023, a number of cultural and artistic events will be held in a number of creative bodies and centers, including:

The Supreme Council of Culture will hold its 68th meeting, chaired by Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, Minister of Culture, which will be limited to the 60 members of the Council in their persons and positions, at noon, at the Council's headquarters.

The Supreme Council of Culture will hold a symposium entitled "Media...and the Industry of the Economic Editor", which is organized by the Media Committee of the Council and its rapporteur, Dr. Jamal Al-Shaer, at 5:00 pm in the Arts Hall of the Supreme Council of Culture. The symposium will be moderated by Dr. Ashraf Mofid, journalist and member of the committee, with the participation of Dr. Gouda Abdel-Khalek. The Supreme Council of Culture will also host a symposium on the obstacles to the empowerment of Egyptian women in the administration, which is organized by the Committee for the Development of Cultural Administration and its Legislations, and Jihan Tawfiq, Director of the Technical Office of the President of the National Council for Women, will participate in it.

The Egyptian Pocket Novels Salon, in partnership with the Read to Me platform, is organizing a symposium on children’s literature under the title “Our Children Between the Book and the Book,” at six in the evening in the Consulate building in downtown Cairo. Samah Abu Bakr Ezzat, a specialist in children’s literature, and writer Dalia Bazan, are speaking in the salon. The symposium will be moderated by writer Nawal Mustafa, and Mustafa Hamdi, President of the Modern Arab Foundation, and Ahmed Al-Muqaddam, Director General of the Foundation, will participate in the panel discussion.

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina, through the Antiquities Museum and the Zahi Hawass Center for Egyptology, is organizing a lecture entitled: “How did technology revolutionize our understanding of ancient civilizations?”, at exactly one o’clock in the afternoon, in Sheraa Hall on the fourth floor of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. The lecture will be given by Dr. Ghada Mohamed Amer, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Alexandria. Egypt for Science and Technology.

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is organizing, through the Planetarium Center of the Cultural Communication Sector, the “Alexandria Science and Engineering Fair”; To sponsor innovative and talented young people at the pre-university level for the eighteenth year in a row, during the period from Sunday, March 12 to Tuesday, March 14, 2023, which qualifies for the International Science and Engineering Exhibition, which includes research students from 12 to 20 years old; To present their research and discuss their ideas.

The Prince Taz Palace Creativity Center, which is affiliated with the Cultural Development Fund Sector, will also host the "Voice Band" concert, led by artist Islam Gad, at 7:00 pm.
