The Minister of Culture opens the youth salon in its 31st session

Dr. Enas Abdel-Dayem, Minister of Culture, inaugurated the Youth Salon in its 31st session of 2021 under the title "What Matters Me Now", in the presence of Dr. Khaled Sorour, Head of the Fine Arts Sector, Dr. Medhat Nasr, Chairman of the Screening and Arbitration Committee, and a group of artists, critics, and those interested in plastic art, In the Arts Palace in the square of the Egyptian Opera House, the Minister expressed her admiration for the exhibited artworks, and stopped in front of every work praising artistic talents.

About 151 artists, with a total of 152 works of art in various fields of plastic art, participate in this session, which include sculpture, ceramics, photography, drawing, graphics, installation in space, media arts and digital arts competing for this year’s prizes, which are estimated at a total of 160 thousand Egyptian pounds divided As follows:

The grand prize is worth 30 thousand pounds, the salon prizes are divided into 8 prizes, each of which is 15 thousand pounds, in addition to an encouraging prize of 5 thousand pounds each.

It is noteworthy that the Fine Arts Sector announced the conditions for the Youth Salon competition, which is that the age of the participant should not exceed 23 years on the day of the opening of the salon, and the participant is entitled to submit 2 poster designs on the condition that they are newly implemented, specifically for the youth salon, and the design is presented in a size of 50% and 70 length.
