Pres. Sisi greets Egyptian women on International Women's Day 2025

CAIRO – 9 March 2025: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Saturday extended his greetings to Egyptian women on International Women's Day (IWD) 2025, praising them as “the symbol of giving, patience, and resourcefulness.”
In a social media post, the president commended Egyptian women as “an active partner in the journey of development, construction, and progress, and a pillar of strength for their country in all circumstances.”
Sisi reaffirmed the state's commitment to support, empower, and care for women, wishing a happy International Women's Day to “every inspiring, strong, and giving Egyptian woman.”
International Women's Day is observed globally on 8 March, celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women and calling for expediting gender equality.
The United Nations is celebrating this year’s IWD under the theme, “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.”
