CAIRO – 12 March 2025: The foreign ministers of Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia discussed Monday in a phone call the outcomes of the Extraordinary Arab Summit on Gaza that was held on March 4 in Cairo.
The summit endorsed the Egyptian plan on Gaza early recovery and reconstruction, so Minister Badr Abdelatty and Prince Faisal Bin Farhan exchanged views on implementation mechanisms and methods to mobilize international support.
Similarly, they conferred over preparations for holding an international conference on Gaza reconstruction in partnership with the United Nations. The event is scheduled for April and will be hosted by Egypt.
The two ministers also discussed the violence that had been committed by governmental forces in Syrian coastal cities and that incurred the death of over 1,000, including 745 civilians. The rest were members of the former regime.
In that regard, the Egyptian minister stressed the importance of preserving the unity, territorial integrity, and state institutions of Syria by launching an inclusive political process that does not disregard the rights of any sect.
