Dr. Inas Abdel-Dayem, Minister of Culture, received Ambassador Christian Berger, head of the European Union delegation to Egypt, to discuss ways to support cultural and technical cooperation between Egypt and the European Union countries, especially in light of the Corona pandemic.

During the meeting, Enas Abdel Dayem indicated Egypt's constant keenness to communicate with the European Union countries in all fields, explaining the depth of cultural relations between Egypt and the countries of the Union through mutual participation in the various intellectual and artistic activities that are organized in Egypt or in Europe before the Corona pandemic and until now, And that is through many events organized via the Internet (online), and she added that soft power is a means of rapprochement between the peoples of the world and a bridge for the exchange of various visions and innovations, and stressed the need to intensify cooperation in cultural and artistic projects between Egypt and the European Union countries.

For his part, the head of the European Union delegation stressed the importance of Egypt's pivotal role in culture and arts as it is the oldest civilization in history, pointing to its continuous follow-up to the cultural and creative movement in the Egyptian street, which is witnessing remarkable activity and all the various activities transmitted by the Ministry of Culture in all its sectors of various activities via the Internet, and praised the resumption of Egypt Successfully organizing its cultural and artistic activities in accordance with strict precautionary measures at a time when the world's theaters have stopped, and he continued that culture and arts are an important sentimental requirement, especially in critical times the world is going through.

At the end of the meeting, the Minister of Culture gifted the head of the European Union delegation a set of publications of the ministry, and invited him to visit Aisha Fahmy Palace and the Gallery of Our Museums, which includes the works of a large group of European plastic art pioneers who lived in Egypt and were affected by it.
