CAIRO - 4 October 2020: Egypt’s population reached 101 million Sunday's evening the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) said in a statement Saturday to the state news agency, MENA.
The official statistics agency said the country’s population reached 100 million on February 11 this year.
The population increased by 177 people per hour since February 11, the statement noted.
