CAIRO – 3 August 2025: Egypt has provided approximately 70% of the total humanitarian aid delivered to the Gaza Strip since the outbreak of the war, according to televised statements by Ambassador Tamim Khallaf, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In an interview with journalist Hassani Bashir on Al-Qahira News Channel, Khallaf stated that demonstrations aimed at tarnishing Egypt’s image ultimately serve the interests of the Israeli occupation. Such actions, he said, divert attention from the crimes and human rights violations committed by Israel against the Palestinian people and undermine international efforts to hold it accountable.

Two days ago, Four Egyptian military aircraft dropped on Wednesday four tons of food aid inside the Gaza Strip, in implementation of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi's directives.

The airdrops were carried out in areas inaccessible by land in the Gaza Strip, aiming to alleviate the difficult living conditions and humanitarian shortages facing the Strip's residents. This coincides with the continued provision of aid by land.

This comes in light of the strenuous efforts made by Egypt to provide thousands of tons of aid in cooperation with friendly countries, to the Palestinian people.

Only 73 trucks carrying humanitarian aid entered the Gaza Strip on Friday, said the Palestinian Government Office in Gaza on Saturday in a statement.

The majority of these trucks were looted and stolen amid a state of security chaos that has been systematically and deliberately fostered by the Israeli occupation, as part of what is widely referred to as the policy of "engineering chaos and starvation."

“We affirm that the actual daily needs of the Gaza Strip are no less than 600 trucks of relief supplies and fuel to meet the minimum requirements of life for the health, service, and food sectors, in light of the complete collapse of the infrastructure due to the genocidal war,” the statement added.

The office condemned in the strongest terms the continued crime of starvation, the closure of crossings, and the prevention of the entry of humanitarian aid.

“We hold the Israeli occupation and the countries complicit in its crime of genocide fully responsible for the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe. We call for the immediate opening of the crossings and the entry of sufficient quantities of aid and baby milk,” the statement read.
