CAIRO – 8 September 2025: Humanitarian and relief trucks from the convoy "Zad Al-Izza... Egypt to Gaza" has entered the Gaza Strip after crossing Egyptian territories to Karam Abu Salem border crossing, where they are inspected by Israeli occupation forces before entering Gaza, an official source at the Rafah land port has said.

The convoy includes trucks carrying thousands of tons of relief aid and shelter supplies, as well as food items, medical supplies, medicines, baby formula, and flour to meet the needs of the people in the Gaza Strip.

This effort is part of Egypt's ongoing humanitarian support for the Palestinian people.

The Egyptian Red Crescent has been present on the border to coordinate and dispatch aid to Gaza since the beginning of the crisis.

The Rafah land port has not been closed from the Egyptian side and remains on high alert at all logistical centers, continuing its efforts to facilitate the entry of aid.

Over 36,000 trucks, carrying around half a million tons of humanitarian and relief aid, have entered so far, thanks to the efforts of 35,000 volunteers.

Israeli occupation forces had closed the crossings connecting to the Gaza Strip since March 2nd, following the end of the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement and the failure to reach a lasting truce.
