CAIRO – 1 September 2025: The 27th humanitarian aid convoy “Zad al-Izza... From Egypt to Gaza” departed on Monday from the Egyptian territories to the besieged Gaza Strip.
According to al Qahera news channel, the convoy consists of approximately 185 trucks containing basic food supplies, including baby formula, flour, oil, sugar, cheese, canned meals, and legumes.
The Israeli occupation forces had closed the crossings linking the Gaza Strip since March 2, following the end of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, and the failure to reach an agreement to consolidate the ceasefire.
The initiative reflects Egypt’s continued dedication to supporting the people of Gaza with food and critical relief materials. Notably, the "Zad al-Izza... From Egypt to Gaza" campaign—launched by the Egyptian Red Crescent—has been actively delivering thousands of tons of aid since July 27.
These deliveries have included food supplies, flour, baby formula, medical equipment, therapeutic medications, personal care items, and fuel.
Since the onset of the crisis, the Egyptian Red Crescent has maintained a continuous presence at the border, serving as the primary channel for coordinating and dispatching humanitarian aid.
Despite the ongoing conflict, the Rafah crossing has remained open on the Egyptian side. The organization continues its operations at full capacity across all logistical hubs, backed by the efforts of 35,000 volunteers, and has so far facilitated the delivery of over half a million tons of aid to Gaza.
