1st batch of Egyptian returnees from US to leave quarantine Friday

CAIRO – 16 April 2020: "The quarantine period for the first group of Egyptians who returned from the United States will end on Friday; they will then be headed to Cairo," according to a Health Ministry source.

An EgyptAir flight will be transferring the Egyptians from the quarantine in Marsa Alam, in Red Sea governorate, to Cairo Airport on Friday, after they completed 14 days in quarantine.

The second group of Egyptians is scheduled to leave on Sunday also on a flight from Marsa Alam Airport to Cairo Airport.

On April 5, the second exceptional EgyptAir flight coming from Washington to Marsa Alam landed at the airport.

Egypt has operated exceptional flights over the past weeks to bring back Egyptians from different countries amid the outbreak of the coronavirus worldwide.
