CAIRO - 19 February 2025: Egypt will host an emergency Arab summit on the latest Palestinian developments on March 4, 2025 in Cairo.

The new date was decided after coordination with Bahrain, the current chair of the Arab League, and other Arab countries.

Arab League (AL) Assistant Secretary-General, Hossam Zaki, announced that the date of the emergency Arab summit scheduled to be held in Egypt on February 27 may change to another date, due to considerations related to the schedules of the leaders of the participating countries.

Zaki stressed that the main motivation for any possible postponement is Egypt’s keenness to have the largest number of leaders attend to ensure the success of the summit, stressing that the reasons will be purely logistical.

Zaki explained that the summit aims to formulate a unified and strong Arab position on the Palestinian issue, in light of the rejection of the displacement plan that was proposed by the Israeli side and later adopted by the American administration.
