Sisi voices keenness on promoting economic relations with Japanese side.

CAIRO - 1 September 2019: Egypt's President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi expressed his keenness on promoting economic relations with the Japanese side.

President Sisi underscored that Egypt possesses capabilities enabling it to act as a key hub for all Japanese industries and a gateway to the African, Middle East and European markets.

The president made the remarks during a meeting with Masumi Kakinoki, the CEO of Japan's Marubeni Corporation, a major Japanese company with multiple trade, industrial and services activities.

President Sisi highlighted the importance of the Egyptian-Japanese partnership, asserting that Cairo's approach in cooperating with partners is based on removing obstacles facing investors and taking all measures that help increase foreign direct investments, said Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady.

The CEO of Marubeni Co. reviewed the projects that the company is currently considering in Egypt, affirming that his company is keen to closely get acquainted with the investment opportunities in Egypt
