CAIRO -21 August 2022: On the International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism, which is commemorated annually on 21 August, Egypt expressed its full solidarity with the victims of all heinous terrorist attacks in Egypt and across the globe, Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Sunday.
Egypt also reiterated its strong condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, and emphasize the importance of staying united against all who seek to sow the seeds of division and hatred in our societies, the statement added.
UN Chief Antonio Guterres said on Twitter: “After the initial shock of a terrorist attack, victims often feel abandoned or forgotten. As we mark #VictimsOfTerrorism Day, we must ensure that they are supported by amplifying their voices, protecting their rights, and seeking justice.”
