CAIRO, 19 February 2020: Egypt's Minister of Planning Hala el Saeed conferred with new German Ambassador in Cairo Cyrill Nunn on means to boost cooperation between Egypt and Germany.

During the meeting, Saeed presented Egypt's vision 2030 which is one of the most important files tackled by the Ministry of Planning, according to state news agency, MENA.

She noted that the vision is congruent with the UN sustainable development goals and the African Agenda 2063.

She pointed out to the local, regional and international challenges and changes and eventualities all around the world.

The societal dialogue under Egypt's vision 2030 will raise the awareness of the citizens about the national development strategy, Saeed said.

She also said that the Egyptian economy achieved a growth rate of 5.6% in 2018/2019 which is the best to be recorded in ten years.

She added that the National Wages Council (NWC) focuses on achieving a balance between wages and prices and encouraging the transition from the informal to the formal economy.
