Egypt Extends Condolences to U.S. Over Texas Flood Victims

CAIRO – 6 July 2025: Egypt offered its deepest condolences to the American government and people over the tragic loss of life in the Texas floods.

In a statement released by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Egypt affirmed its full solidarity with the US administration and people in these painful circumstances, and extends its sincere condolences to the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.

At least 43 people were killed and 15 others are missing in devastating floods that hit Texas Hill Country in early hours of Friday, NPR reported. The water level of the Guadalupe River rose 26 feet in 45 minutes. Governor Greg Abbott issued a disaster declaration for 15 counties affected.
