Egypt's Min of Antiquities Meets Irina Varanovich, Deputy Minister of Tourism of Belarus to boost touristic relationships

Today, Dr. Khaled El-Anany, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, met with Irina Varanovich, Deputy Minister of Tourism of Belarus and Head of the Belarusian delegation, on the sidelines of his current visit to the Spanish capital, Madrid, to participate in the work of the 114th session of the Executive Council of the World Tourism Organization within the framework of the work of the 24th session of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization UNWTO.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Youssef Makkawi, Egypt's Ambassador to Spain, Yomna Al-Bahar, Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Technical Affairs, and Minister Plenipotentiary Dalia Abdel Fattah, General Supervisor of the General Department of International Relations and Agreements at the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism and push more tourist traffic from Belarus to Egypt, especially since the Belarusian market is one of the most important tourism markets for Egypt at present.

Proposals to activate tourism cooperation in some fields and encourage exchange between the two countries, especially in the field of medical tourism and benefit from the experience of Belarus in this field, were also discussed, as well as a proposal to organize Fam Trips for a group of tourism and travel agents in Belarus to visit Egypt.

For her part, the Belarusian Deputy Minister of Tourism indicated the praise of the various committees that came to Egypt to identify and reassure the precautionary measures followed in Egyptian tourist resorts, with what they witnessed of the measures applied on the ground in hotels, facilities, tourist resorts and airports.
