CAIRO - 16 October 2019: Egypt's Abdel Fatah al-Sisi held a meeting in Cairo on Tuesday with Ichiro Kashitani, the CEO of Toyota Tsusho company, who is currently visiting Egypt.

During the meeting, Sisi stated that Egypt could be a hub for Japanese products and industries and a gateway to the African and Middle East markets for them.

The remarks were made at a meeting in Cairo with Ichiro Kashitani, the CEO of Toyota Tsusho company, who is currently visiting Egypt.

According to a presidential statement, El-Sisi praised the strength of Egyptian-Japanese bilateral relations, as well as the positive achievements of Toyota Tshuho in Egypt over the decades, and the investment opportunities available to it in the country.

Kashitani reviewed the projects his company is considering implementing in Egypt, and said that investments total $1 billion over several sectors, including energy, oil, transportation and renewable energy.

Japanese ambassador to Cairo Masaki Noke and Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker attended the meeting.
