CAIRO - 22 September 2019: Trade Exchange between Egypt and the United States hit $3.7 billion during the first half of 2019, compared to $3.4 billion during the same half of 2018, according to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
CAPMAS added in a statement Sunday that Egypt's exports to the US logged $1 billion in the first half of 2019, compared to $841.784 million in the same period in 2018, marking an increase of 19.9 percent.
Egyptian imports to the US rose 4.1 percent on a year-on-year basis, recording $2.7 billion in the first six months of 2019.
The net US investments in Egypt in the first half of fiscal year 2018/2019 fiscal year reached $1.70 billion, marking an increase of 5.2 percent, compared to 2017/2018.
