CAIRO – 7 September 2021: Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received on Monday a phone call from his Norwegian counterpart Ine Marie Eriksen Søreide, discussing ways of enhancing cooperation relations between both countries in many fields, as well as the latest developments on the regional and international arenas, said Egyptian Foreign Ministry in a statement.
Both Ministers tackled Norwegian investments and participation in Egyptian national projects, the statement said.
They also discussed the recent developments in the region, especially at the level of the Palestinian issue, the statement said, adding that the Norwegian Minister invited Shoukry to participate in a meeting of the Ad Hoc Liaison Committee (AHLC), which works on the delivery of international aid to Palestinians and the Palestinian Authority.
The AHLC meeting will be held in New York on the sidelines of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 76).
