CAIRO – 23 July 2025: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi affirmed that Egypt has remained “a haven of security and stability” thanks to the awareness of the people amidst worsening global crises, as he delivered a speech to mark the 73rd anniversary of the July 23, 1952 Revolution on Wednesday.
“Egypt has achieved numerous accomplishments at a time when countries collapsed, entities disintegrated, and crises intensified,” the president said in a video statement.
He stated that Egypt has remained “a guaranteed humanitarian refuge,” receiving around ten million people from various countries and “offering the world a unique model of humanity and responsibility.”
The president said Egypt has never abandoned its national and humanitarian responsibilities despite ongoing pressures.
“Thanks to Allah, and the will and awareness of this great people, we have been able to withstand difficulties, maintain the homeland and its stability, and embark on a path of construction in a powerful national epic, with determination and hands that do not know defeat.”
In his speech, Sisi emphasized that Egypt “will remain steadfast with its cohesive internal front, resilient against conspiracies and discord, fully aware of everything plotted around it.”
“I am firmly convinced that this nation is capable—by Allah’s will and with the strength and patience of its children—of overcoming challenges and surpassing difficulties, no matter how varied their forms or how numerous their sources.
Establishing ‘New Republic’
As Egypt commemorates the revolution today, the president says people “recall a comprehensive national experience, delving deep into its lessons, taking from its successes and setbacks the guidance for the New Republic.”
Emerging since 2014, the New Republic is “founded on solid pillars, ambitious vision, and steady steps toward establishing a modern state that utilizes scientific methods to achieve its ambitions, while trusting in Allah’s guidance to fulfill its goals.”
Sisi emphasized that the 1952 Revolution marked “a turning point in the nation’s journey.”
“It ended the odious era of occupation, established values of pride, dignity, and independence, and illuminated the path of liberation in third-world countries and our Arab region.”
He stated that the revolution became “an inspiration for liberation from colonialism and for national decision-making independence.”
‘Shaping Today and Tomorrow’
Sisi highlighted the state’s achievements over the past decade in beating terrorism, achieving urban boom and ensuring social security.
“In recent years, Egypt has been at the forefront of shaping the present and designing the future.” Sisi said.
“Our brave army has become a strong shield and a sharp sword, defeating terrorism and purging our homeland from its claws.”
“We have witnessed a comprehensive urban boom, with slums being eradicated, housing being constructed, smart cities being established, and unprecedented leaps in infrastructure.”
The president shed light on the Haya Karima "Decent Life" social support project, “enabling around 60 million citizens to live in a civilized environment.”
Regarding housing projects, Sisi emphasized that “Egypt, which refuses to allow its citizens to live in slums and hazardous areas, will not abandon anyone deserving of housing, ensuring that they are not left in anxiety about their future.”
The Salute Continues
The president extended his heartfelt greetings to the leaders of the revolution, to the Egyptian army, to the valiant police, and to every Egyptian hand that builds, develops, protects, and nurtures the national institutions.
“Always: Long live Egypt, long live Egypt, long live Egypt,” the president concluded.
