CAIRO – 7 April 2025: Jordanian King Abdullah II headed to Egypt, on Monday to participate in a tripartite summit with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and French President Emmanuel Macron on the ongoing escalations in Gaza strip according to Jordan's state news agency.
The tripartite summit will also discuss conditions in the region including the developments in the West Bank according to Presidential spokesman Mohamed el Shennawi,
Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received at Ittihadia Palace on Monday French President Emmanuel Macron, amid an official reception ceremony, where the national anthems of both countries were played.
According to the Presidential spokesman, the two leaders held a bilateral meeting to be followed by a session of plenary talks between the two countries' delegations.
A number of agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) were signed following the talks in the presence of the two leaders who also held a joint press conference.
Macron arrived in Cairo Sunday on a three-day official visit to Egypt. Upon his arrival, President Sisi accompanied the French President Macron on a tour of Khan El-Khalili, Cairo’s iconic market that dates back centuries.
