152 aid trucks enter Gaza Strip on Monday

CAIRO – 17 February 2025: Up to 152 aid trucks, including 13 fuel trucks, have entered Al-Auja and Kerem Shalom border crossings into the Gaza strip, Monday morning, according to al Qahera news channel.

Egypt launched on Sunday one of the largest aid convoys with more than 460 trucks carrying 7,200 tons of food, medical supplies and all necessary needs to enter the Gaza Strip ahead of the holy month of Ramadan due to start on March 1.

Under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Tahya Misr Fund has prepared this convoy to reach the Gazans in advent of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

According to a statement released by the Egyptian Cabinet on Sunday, The convoy was provided with large quantities of tents capable of withstanding harsh weather conditions, and huge quantities of various clothes to meet the needs of all age groups. On top of that, the convoy included other relief supplies, such as quilts, blankets, and carpets, as well as personal hygiene items and shelter bags.

This convoy is considered as one of the largest aid convoys gathered from different governorates across Egypt. Tamer Abdel Fattah, executive director of the Tahya Misr Fund, confirmed that within the framework of cooperation with the Ministry of Local Development and the governorates, comprehensive humanitarian aid convoys have been prepared, and will be launched in three phases

He clarified that the first phase has just been launched February 16 from the governorates of Cairo, Giza, Qalyubia, Matrouh, Suez, South Sinai, North Sinai, Ismailia, Sharkia, and New Valley. Meanwhile, the second phase includes the governorates of Alexandria, Beheira, Matrouh, Dakahlia, Damietta, Kafr El-Sheikh , Gharbia, and Menoufia.

As for the third phase, it includes the governorates of Fayoum, Beni Suef, Minya, Assiut, Sohag, Qena, Luxor, Aswan, and Red Sea.
