Egypt gov't initially approves establishing Egyptian-Sudanese holding company

CAIRO, 22 September 2020: The Egyptian cabinet in its Tuesday meeting under Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly approved in principle the establishment of an Egyptian-Sudanese shareholding company.

The Egyptian Holding Company for Food Industries and the Sudan's Etegahat Group Limited Company are representatives of the Egyptian and Sudanese governments in such partnership.

The company will be tasked with breeding livestock and maximizing their meat production whether for the Egyptian market or exportation purposes along with the production and exportation of all vital crops such as sugar, rice, peanuts, cotton, vegetables, detergents and sanitizers among others.

The cabinet also approved a presidential decree on reallocating a lot of state-owned land whose area is 1227.84 feddans in the 10th of Ramadan district of Qalubiya for the disposal of dangerous waste.
