The Minister of Culture affirmed that libraries are the best example of effective cooperation between government institutions and civil society organizations working in cultural affairs, and she appreciated the efforts made by Ambassador Abdel Raouf Al-Raedy and his assistant team in managing these libraries, which put them in a privileged position on the map of cultural life. Egyptian.

The Minister of Culture praised the performance of Egypt's public libraries and their work system, and directed the use of the employees of the General Authority for Cultural Palaces, and the assignment of some of them to the libraries whose establishment was completed, to open them as soon as possible, and also directed cooperation with the Ministry of Transport to raise the efficiency of some buses and convert them into mobile libraries that join for mobile library convoys.

For his part, Ambassador Abdel Raouf Al-Raedy confirmed that work is currently underway to establish a number of libraries in the regions, bringing the total number of governorates in which Egypt's public libraries are located to 18 governorates, explaining that work is underway to open libraries in "Menoufia, Qena, Aswan, Assiut, Dakahlia and Ismailia", in addition to 6 mobile libraries.

Ambassador Reda Al-Taifi, Director of the Public Libraries Fund of Egypt, indicated that a fleet of mobile libraries is being launched, which will go out in convoys to the most needy regions and "decent life" villages, to provide cultural services and artistic activities, explaining that the libraries have adopted a number of pioneering initiatives, including the national initiative. for training and qualifying people of determination, the Distance Learning Initiative, the National Reading Project, and the National Digital Citizenship Initiative.

During the meeting, the work plan for libraries at the level of the Republic was discussed, and the activities they provide to serve the people of Egypt in all the governorates in which they are located, in addition to reviewing the position of a number of branches that have been completed and prepared for opening in Qena, in addition to working on completing Establishing a library branch in Shebin El-Kom, Menoufia Governorate, and another branch in Aswan Governorate.

The meeting reviewed a number of initiatives with a societal impact, including the "Qudwa Tech" initiative, which aims at social and economic empowerment of Egyptian women using information and communication technology, as it is implemented by the Central Department for Community Development at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, to contribute to the social and economic empowerment of girls and women in the governorates of Egypt. Especially in remote, remote and marginalized areas, and the "Safe City" initiative in the library branches in "Al-Burj" estate in Damietta, and "Faqous" in Sharkia, which aims to provide all different services for women and children, in cooperation between the governorates, the United Nations Women's Organization, and the National Council for Women.

The meeting touched on the completion of the libraries' delivery of 3 mobile libraries, and work is underway to equip 3 similar libraries, to provide activities and events within the presidential initiative "A Decent Life".
