Egypt's Minister of Culture: The Academy of Arts in Rome launches its new season as a gateway to Europe

Under the patronage of artist Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture, the Egyptian Academy of Arts in Rome, headed by Dr. Heba Youssef, launched its new cultural season 2021/2022, which bears the slogan "Egypt - Italy: Culture and Civilization - Common Horizons".

Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem said that the Egyptian Academy of Arts in Rome is one of the most important bridges of communication between Egypt and Italy and a golden gateway for Egyptian creativity to cross into Europe. She added that since its establishment, it has succeeded in highlighting the intellectual and artistic mutual influences between the two friendly countries, noting that its new cultural season sheds light on The common denominators between Egypt and Italy civilly, culturally and artistically and includes many distinctive and diverse activities.

It is noteworthy that the opening ceremony of the new season of the Egyptian Academy of Arts in Rome was attended by Minister Plenipotentiary Nagy Ghaba, the Chargé d’Affairs of the Egyptian Ambassador to Italy, a number of Egyptian and Arab diplomats, cultural advisors, directors of the corresponding art academies in Rome, and many members of the Egyptian community and the Italian public, who expressed their fascination and great admiration for the paragraphs that were presented. During which, the city of Port Said - the capital of Egyptian culture was celebrated, where an exhibition of historical documents related to the founding of Port Said and the Suez Canal was held in cooperation with the National Library and Documentation House headed by Dr. The city's neighborhoods, as well as an overview of the new Suez Canal, with a focus on the development, economic and investment aspect.

It concluded with performances by the Port Said Troupe for Folklore of the General Authority for Cultural Palaces headed by artist Hisham Atwa, which received a wonderful response from the audience.
