A number of cultural and artistic events will be available online, and are launched as part of the precautionary measures to combat the new coronavirus.
Umm Kulthum's Hologram Concert
Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem will launch the online initiative "Stay at home ... Culture is between your hands" on March 24 at 9 p.m.
“The initiative aims to broadcast anecdotes about the archives of national, contemporary and traditional creativity on the YouTube channel of the Ministry of Culture and its different social media accounts,” Abdel Dayem explained.
Abdel Dayem further stated that the broadcast begins with the Opera House's hologram concert of the late wonderful singer Umm Kulthum’s “Hayart Qalbi”, in addition to other Umm Kulthum's specials performed by Reham Abdel Hakim and Mai Farouk.

Through its official page on Facebook, the Fine Arts Museum of the Fine Arts Sector called on citizens to stay at home, commenting “Stay home, we will bring the museum right to your doorstep!”

All creators and art and culture enthusiasts can apply for the fifth edition of “My Heritage” competition for photography and plastic arts that sheds light on Cairo's architectural and urban elements that reflect the depth and diversity of its cultural heritage.
Read with us initiative
The Supreme Council of Culture, headed by Hisham Azmy, also organizes a number of online cultural events, including a series of Arab cultural episodes entitled “Read with us”.
“Read with us” presents extracts from one of an Arab writer or poet's works read by his/her own voice. The recorded video is sent to the Supreme Council of Culture to upload it on all social media platforms, enabling the followers to engage freely in comments.
A large number of writers and creators from Arab countries and Egypt participate in the event.
