CAIRO - 9 February 2025: Egypt condemned in the strongest terms the irresponsible and unacceptable statements issued by the Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu calling for the establishment of a Palestinian state on Saudi territory.
In a statement released by the ministry of foreign affairs, Egypt completely rejected these "reckless statements" that affect the security and sovereignty of the Kingdom, affirming that the security of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and respect for its sovereignty is a red line that Egypt will not allow to be violated.
Egypt further stressed that these unbridled Israeli statements towards the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia constitute a reprehensible transgression and an infringement on all established diplomatic norms and a violation of the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on their entire national territory in the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem according to the borders of June 4, 1967.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu recently suggested in public media statements that Saudi Arabia could establish a Palestinian state within its own territory, stating that "the Saudis can create a Palestinian state in Saudi Arabia; they have a lot of land over there."
