CAIRO - 24 December 2019: US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs David Schenker asserted that Egypt plays a vital role in achieving regional security and stability.
In a press in Washington, he told reporters that he had a productive visit to Cairo and Sinai last week.
"The US and Egypt share many mutual objectives," he said, praised counter-terrorism cooperation, Egypt's way of administering the Suez Canal and its historic role as a leader in the search for peace.
