CAIRO - 6 July 2020: The US dollar exchange rate retreated versus the Egyptian pound to lose six piasters during transactions at Egypt's banks amid expectations of more decline in the coming period.
The optimistic expectations are backed by the increase in the foreign currency in Egypt due to the return of tourism and foreign investment.
The dollar rate stood at EGP 16.01 for buying and LE 16.11 for selling at 11 banks, including the Commercial International Bank (CIB), Industrial Development Bank, Arab African International Bank, Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt, Credit Agricole Egypt, Arab Investment Bank, and Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait.
The price of the dollar recorded LE 16.03 for buying and LE 16.13 for selling at the National Bank, Banque Misr, and Housing & Development Bank.
