CAIRO - 7 March 2021: Egypt's Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala El-Said met with Major General Mohamed Al-Zamalout, governor of New Valley, earlier this week to discuss the steps to be made and the mechanisms to be adopted to implement the population attraction project in the governorate

The first phase aims for attracting a thousand families who will be granted several concessions and enterprises that would generate adequate income for them and ensure the establishment of a strong and sustainable society.

The population attraction project is part of the comprehensive development process in the governorate. During the meeting, some investment projects that will be embarked on according to the plan for the new fiscal year 2021/2022 were discussed.

El-Said stressed the great importance of the New Valley Governorate and the resources and wealth it possesses, which represent great and promising investment opportunities.

The minister also indicated that many other investment projects were discussed in the fields of agriculture, mining, and land reclamation, which will contribute significantly to achieving the goals of the ministry within Egypt’s 2030 Vision.
