This year 2022 marks the centenary of the opening of the tomb of King Tutankhamun, where the unique tomb of the Golden King was discovered in 1922 AD, and on this occasion the Golden King had the opportunity to reconstruct his face to show the world how he looked in his life, in a scientific project led by Dr. Sahar Selim, Head of the Department Radiology, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, expert in x-rays of antiquities and mummies.

After the discovery of the tomb of King Tutankhamun, his mummy underwent scientific studies, the most important of which was a CT scan in 2005 in the Royal Mummies Examination Project of the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities, which was established by the Egyptologist Dr. The scientific study of the museum display at the Museum of Civilization in Fustat, where CT scans and advanced technologies enabled the expert in mummy x-rays, Sahar Selim, to examine 40 royal mummy, including the mummy of King Tutankhamun.

The advanced x-rays were able to make several clips by installing them to obtain two- and three-dimensional images that give a lot of information about the mummy, such as age at death, gender, health status, embalming method, and face shape. Dr. Sahar Selim participated in designing the museum display in the Royal Mummies Hall at the Civilization Museum in Fustat.

On the occasion of the centenary of the archaeological discovery of the tomb of King Tutankhamun, which is the most important in the world, the mummy x-ray expert led a scientific project to reconstruct the face of the mummy of the golden King Tutankhamun, using x-ray techniques and computed tomography of the skull of King Tut's mummy.

And Dr. Sahar Selim chose the members of her scientific team, which consisted of an anthropologist from the Canadian University of Western Ontario, Dr. Andrew Nelson has also hired Canadian sculptor specialist Christian Courbet.

The three-dimensional model of the skull of King Tutankhamun was printed using artificial intelligence, and then the facial muscles were built on the model using the proportions of Egyptian faces. 3000 years old, wearer of the battle royale crown.

This result in reconstructing the face of King Tutankhamun is the most accurate scientifically, as this project relied on constructing the face of the king on the measurements of Egyptian faces, unlike previous attempts in which measurements of the faces of non-Egyptian peoples were used, and the scientific project to reconstruct the face of King Tutankhamun was documented In a documentary film for "Soora" company, directed by Egyptian director Hossam Abul Magd.
