A number of cultural and artistic events will be held today, including the Supreme Council of Culture's celebration of the death anniversary of Egypt’s former leader Gamal Abdel Nasser, and the launch of the summer program for children at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
The Supreme Council of Culture organizes the one-day conference "Gamal Abdel Nasser: Challenges and Achievements" on September 28 at 11 a.m. at the Supreme Council of Culture headquarters, with the participation of a large group of historians, journalists and politicians.
The conference commemorates leader Gamal Abdel Nasser on his 50th death anniversary. It includes an opening session, three research sessions, and a round table.
Additionally, "The homeland and challenges of 2020" symposium will be held at Al-Hanager Cultural Center at 7:30 p.m.
The annual summer program for children and youth from 6 to 17 years of age will also be launched on September 28 at the Planetarium Science Center of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. It is scheduled to run until October 17, 2020.
