CAIRO - 10 April 2019: IMF Director Christine Lagarde congratulated President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on the achievements made by the Egyptian government's economic reform program.
Lagarde stressed that the great awareness shown by the Egyptian people, coupled with the successful management by the Egyptian political leadership of profound reform policies, has led to the improvement of various economic indicators in a remarkable way reflected the successful and accurate application of the steps of economic reform.
She also stressed the IMF's keenness to continue constructive cooperation with Egypt to complete the latest stages of the economic reform program successfully.
This was stated by the minister Bassam Rady, the official spokesman for the presidency.
