CAIRO - 8 January 2020: Egypt's Ministry of International Cooperation has started making preparations for a visit of a high-level delegation comprising executive directors of the World Bank to Egypt in January.
Minister of International Cooperation Rania el Mashaat said in a statement on Monday that Egypt will work on deepening its partnership level with the World Bank within the coming years to achieve sustainable development goals, according to state news agency, MENA.
Cooperation with the WB will be according to the priorities of the Egyptian government to establish new developmental projects, she said.
She also asserted the importance of the visit of the WB team to Egypt where they will meet with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and a host of ministers to discuss the economic reform program of the Egyptian government within the coming stage.
Mashaat will meet with the delegation to discuss future cooperation between her ministry and the WB and the new partnership framework for the coming years.
The delegation will also meet with entrepreneurs to stand on their projects and the role of the government in empowering them economically to contribute to achieving the targets of sustainable development.
Furthermore, the delegation will visit the sites of a number of developmental projects in the fields of new and renewable energy and social protection.
