CAIRO – 26 October 2025: The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) dispatched more than 400 trucks carrying 10,000 tons of humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza Strip as part of the 58th “Zad Al-Izza” convoy.

In a statement, the ERC announced that the 58th “Zad Al-Izza... From Egypt to Gaza” convoy departed early Sunday morning, comprising 423 trucks loaded with urgent humanitarian supplies for Gaza.

This latest dispatch is part of the ERC’s ongoing efforts as Egypt’s national mechanism for coordinating aid to Gaza.

The “Zad Al-Izza” convoy carried 10,000 tons of humanitarian assistance, including:

● Over 300,000 food baskets
● Approximately 540 tons of flour
● More than 3,000 tons of essential medical and relief supplies
● Around 1,800 tons of petroleum products

These efforts reflect Egypt’s continued commitment to supporting the people of Gaza through the provision of food, as well as medical and relief aid.

The “Zad Al-Izza... From Egypt to Gaza” initiative, launched by the Egyptian Red Crescent on July 27, has been consistently delivering thousands of tons of assistance — including food supplies, flour, baby formula, medical equipment, medications, personal care items, and fuel — to alleviate the suffering in Gaza.

The Egyptian Red Crescent has maintained a constant presence at the Rafah border, acting as the primary national body responsible for organizing and dispatching aid to Gaza since the onset of the crisis. Despite regional challenges, the Rafah crossing has remained open on the Egyptian side, ensuring the continued flow of humanitarian assistance.

Through its logistical centers and a dedicated network of 35,000 volunteers, the ERC has facilitated the delivery of over half a million tons of humanitarian and relief aid to Gaza to date.

During a meeting with a delegation from the Asian-Arabic Parliament on Saturday, Amaal Imam, Executive Director of the Egyptian Red Crescent, revealed that more than 600,000 tons of aid have been delivered since the beginning of the crisis.

She added that these efforts have been supported by 916 humanitarian relief aircrafts and 605 maritime aid shipments, and the coordination of local authorities, civil society organizations, 59 countries and diplomatic missions, and over 50 international and UN organizations, ensuring a unified global humanitarian response.
